I then encountered Ceylon, with its British colonial presence and teatime but also its Buddhas, its magic. Then, I went to the Congo. Morocco and its fantastic gardens, its flowers and fruits, the French West Indian island of Martinique with its Creole and its humor, Paraguay and the Guarani Indians of the Yguaçu, Polynesia and its fragrances, Easter Island and its mysteries, I discovered poverty and wealth, solitude and friendship, treason and loyalty. All of these beautiful countries opened my eyes to the world and to its evolution, they taught me that the World has the beauty of the look we place on it ….
